Let me start by saying I love, love, love this series! Kiersten is such a talented writer that I would love to be besties with because the girl knows how to write an amazing bleeping book!

All is well with Evie now since she can live her normal life far away from the IPCA. She is going to school and trying to study hard so she can get into the same college as Lend. How awesome that would be! Evie is living with a friend because it just feels a tad uncomfy without Lend at his dad's house. Even though she wasn't staying there, they still had a tight connection. That's why she didn't think nothing was up when someone came and pulled her out of school only to find... Raquel.
Seriously?! Why, and how did she find her?
This wasn't good. And once Evie found out just what Raquel wanted, it really wasn't good. Apparently since the big showdown at the center, things have been just haywire not only at the center, but everywhere. Raquel needs Evie's help desperately. After discussing it with Lend and hearing how totally against this he was, she decided to do it and just not tell. And just who is to help her? None other than Jack! Ugh.
Over time, all the lying that she's doing to Lend eats at her, and dealing with Jack? Even worse. Especially when Jack just starts making random appearances. Dealing with Jack is horrible but she knows how bad the center needs her help. But why so many bizarre happenings with the paranormals? Who or what is behind it all? Evie wouldn't even have to help and could go back to her normal life if it would all settle down. Yet, that doesn't seem to be happening. Matter of fact, Evie starts to feel like she's the one being targeted. This isn't good at all.

I adored paranormalcy, and I need to go out and get a copy of supernaturally. It's one of those books I waited so long to read, and now that it's out I haven't gotten. Nice review.

I have "Paranormalcy" but just haven't gotten to it yet on my TBR list. Apparently, I need to move it up the list and add "Supernaturally". You can't get any better than 5/5 stars.

ReplyDeleteI love PARANORMALCY but I still haven't gotten SUPERNATURALLY yet! I can't wait to read it though b/c I really love Evie's teenage voice. And I love the humor, too! Kiersten White is such an awesome writer!
ReplyDeleteThere needs to be more time in the day. I've had these two books on my TBR pile for what feels like ages, but haven't had the chance to read them yet. Maybe I should take a "Staycation" from work, stay home, and just devour as many book as I can in a week. *Sigh* One day.....

I still haven't read PARANORMALCY yet! There are sooo many good YA novels, but I haven been itching to read this one. I love Kirsten White's blog--she is so funny! Maybe when the last book in the trilogy comes out, I will sit down and read them all. :) Thanks for the review.
